Goals of separate collection of EE waste
Until 31 December 2015, the goal of separate collection of EE waste from households amounted to 4 kg per capita/year, or the equivalent mass quantity of EE waste that was on average collected in the Republic of Croatia in the previous three years, depending on whichever quantity is greater.
As of 2016, the goal of separate waste collection is reaching the rate of 45% calculated on the basis of the total mass of EE waste collected from households and registered persons in Croatia in the analysed year, expressed as the percentage of the average mass of EE equipment placed on the market in the previous three years, with a gradual increase until 2019.
As of 2019, the goal of separate collection is reaching the rate of 65% calculated based on the total mass of EE waste collected from households and registered persons in Croatia in the analysed year, expressed as the percentage of the average mass of EE equipment placed on the market in the previous three years, or 85% of the generated EE waste.

Goals of recovery, recycling, and preparation for reuse of EE waste
The minimum goals of recovery, recycling and preparation for reuse for each category of EE waste, are calculated so that the mass of EE waste entering the recovery plant or the plant for recycling/preparation for reuse is divided by the mass of separately collected EE waste in each category, expressed as percentage. The previous procedure, including sorting and storage before recovery, are not considered to be contributions to the fulfilment of these goals.
