17.07.2019. Today at 16:00 the Fund closed the Public Call for co-financing renewable energy sources in family houses. “The citizens showed great interest in renewables, and almost 700 applications to this call were received in a relatively short period”, said director of the Fund, Dubravko Ponoš.

26.06.2019. Today the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund published the Public Call for co-financing the systems for the use of renewable energy sources (RES) in family houses, with 11 million kunas available to the citizens.
19.06.2019. Today the Fund published the Public Call for co-financing the projects on the concepts of “smart cities and municipalities” with the aim of integrating technological solutions for the implementation of: sustainable development, efficient infrastructure, energy efficiency, and improving the overall quality of life of the citizens.
14.06.2019. The Croatia – Korea Environmental Business Forum was held on 13 June 2019 in Zagreb, with a view to developing and improving economic cooperation between the two countries. Numerous persons from the economic and the public sector, diplomats, representatives of the towns, academia, and research institutes participated in the Forum.
09.06.2019. Together with more than 200 divers from Croatia and Slovenia, Dubravko Ponoš, the director of the Fund, was participating in the action of removing underwater waste in Savudrija Bay. The eco-action was organised under the Cleaning Without Borders project, and the locations cleaned included Savudrija Bay and Piran port.
05.06.2019. In the organisation of Business Media Croatia, an International Conference on the Role of the Public and Private Sectors in Circular Waste Management was held in Poreč. The conference gathered more than 250 participants from the country and abroad, and experiences from their work on the waste management projects were also presented by the experts from the Fund.
22.05.2019. HUGO and Hanza Media organised the conference entitled “Plastics in the Circular Economy – Generational Green Challenge”, at which it was pointed out that environmental protection in Croatia has no alternative, and recycling of plastics and other materials is a priority. One of the participants at the conference was the director of the Fund, Dubravko Ponoš, who underlined the role of the deposit system in increasing the rate of separation and recycling of waste.
22.05.2019. The application procedure for co-financing electric vehicles to legal persons officially launched today. The purchase of eco-vehicles for legal persons will be co-financed with HRK 17. 5 million, i.e. up to 40 % of the value of investment, or the maximum of 400,000 kunas per beneficiary. Eligible applicants to the public call of the Fund include units of local self-government, companies, trades, and all non-for-profit organisations except associations.
17.05.2019. In a formal ceremony, the minister of environment and energy, Tomislav Ćorić, and the representatives of the Board of Kaufland, together with the director of the Fund, Dubravko Ponoš, and his deputy, Alenka Košiša Čičin Šain, put into service a solar carport this chain store erected on the parking lot in front of their supermarket in Blato.
17.05.2019. Croatian Post purchased 20 electric quad bikes worth HRK 1.3 million, and the use of these delivery vehicles will reduce annual CO2 emissions by 7.6 tonnes. The director of the Fund, which co-financed the project with HRK 400.000, was present at the acceptance ceremony.
13.05.2019. Waste Management Centre Bikarac is the project of strategic importance for Šibenik-Knin County, for which the construction contract was signed between the director of the company Bikarac, Robert Podrug, and the director of GH Holding, Ronald Tušar, in the presence of Tomislav Ćorić and Dubravko Ponoš, the minister of environment and the director of the Fund respectively.
