08.05.2019. In the organisation of the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, as part of the FIRESPOL project (Financial Instruments for Renewable Energy Investment), the 2-day international event, that will take place on 8 and 9 May, started today in Split, with participation of the Croatian representatives and the representatives of Spain, Germany, Latvia, Ireland, Poland. The aim of the event is to create through the exchange of experiences and presentation of good practices from the partner countries, a framework that will boost more intensive investment in RES from both the public and the private sector.
08.05.2019. The Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund launched the Public Call for co-financing the construction of EV charging stations today, for which HRK 5.8 million has been allocated. This is just one in a series of activities aimed at promoting the transition to a cleaner and more energy efficient transport system, with the overarching goal of reducing environmental pollution caused by exhaust gases and noise.
29.04.2019. Experts from the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund participated in the traditional meeting of facility managers, this year held on Hvar, gathering more than 200 participants. One of the currently most important topics in facility management – energy renovation of multi-apartment buildings – was also discussed.
23.04.2019. Consultations have been launched today on the e-Consultations website, the central portal for consultations with interested public, regarding the Draft of the Public Call for submitting the programmes for providing the service of collection of non-hazardous waste packaging.
18.04.2019. The Agreement was signed today in Čakovec between the Social Cooperative Humana Nova and the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund. The agreement is worth HRK 241,630, of which 40% is co-financed by the Fund.
18.04.2019. The ceremony of opening of the recycling yard, worth HRK 3.2 million, was held today in Drniš. Roughly HRK 2.6 million was secured from the European Cohesion Fund, i.e. around 85% of eligible costs.
12.04.2019. The Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund organised the panel entitled “Energy Efficiency Incentives Possibilities” at the first Energy Democracy Summit/SED 2019 held from 10th to 12thApril in Pula. The participants in the panel included: H.E. Astrid Versto, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to the Republic of Croatia, Marko Markić from the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MEE), Marina Marasović from the Croatian Reconstruction and Development Bank (HBOR), Ana Dašić from Hrvatska poštanska banka (HPB), and Maja Rajčić from the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency (EPEEF).
09.04.2019. “This is going be the third centre built in Croatia, and it will significantly improve and round off the waste management system in Zadar County,” said Director of the Fund Dubravko Ponoš at the ceremony of signing the Construction Contract for WMC “Biljane Donje”. The contract was signed by the director of the company Eko, Dino Perović and the director of the Slovenian company RIKO, Janez Škrabec, in the presence of Minister of Environment Tomislav Čorić, head of County Božidar Longin, and the mayors of Zadar and Benkovac, Branko Dukić and Tomislav Bulić respectively.
08.04.2019. By symbolically handing over the keys to the director of the utility company in the official opening ceremony, the mayor of Pleternica put into operation the newly built recycling yard. The minister of environment and the director of the Fund were also present at the ceremony. The facility, which is worth HRK 2.5 million, is located in the Pleternica business zone, and its construction was co-financed from EU funds.
05.04.2019. In just two days, the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund received more than 2 200 applications for the co-financing of electric vehicles. “The application we have received so far exceed by several times the available amount of 17 million kunas,” said the director of the Fund, Dubravko Ponoš, pointing out that the Call for the citizens would be closed as of that day at 15:00.
03.04.2019. This morning, in less than 60 minutes the registration office at the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund received more than 300 applications for the co-financing of electric vehicles. “Such interest of the citizens was expected, and I believe it is positive that people are getting more familiar with electric vehicles, and are willing to drive them”, said the director of the Fund.

At the conference 2019 Greenfield Investments: How Dreams Become Reality, Deputy Director of the Fund Alenka Košiša Čičin-Šain participated in the panel discussion on the topic of importance of investments by publicly owned companies and companies in the ownership of the units of local self-government.
