25.01.2019. Today, EU funding Grant Agreement worth HRK 322.5 million was signed for the construction of the Waste Management Centre Lećevica in Split-Dalmatia County, accounting for 71% of the overall eligible value of the project.
09.01.2019. Minister Tomislav Ćorić signs the Decision under which 315 million kuna are granted to the Fund for the procurement of containers for separate collection of waste. The grant funding under OPCC 2014 – 2020 will be used to purchase 1 230 695 containers for 407 units of local self-government in an integrated procurement procedure that will be conducted by the Fund.
20.12.2018. The project entitled “Preparation of the Draft National Forestry Accounting Plan, including the proposed Forest Reference Level in the period 2021 – 2025” was presented today at the Croatian Chamber of Economy. The project that was presented today is the fourth in a series of projects related to the Land Use, Land Use Change and Forestry sector (LULUCF sector) whose implementation is co-financed from the Fund’s resources.
10.12.2018. The Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund secured 20 out of the total of 51 million kunas for the works on energy renovation of the hospital in Šibenik. Director of the Fund Dubravko Ponoš pointed out that the hospital was renovated according to the ESCO model under which the Fund participated with 40 percent, while 60 percent was provided by the private partner, in this case the company Rudan.
28.11.2018. A regional informative workshop was held today in the Split County Chamber for the entities (persons) subject to fees and charges in the packaging waste management system. The fee charging and collection system, as well as the waste management system, is managed by the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund.
27.11.2018. The 7th International Fair for Investment Projects, Rexpo 2018, had more than 2,000 visitors. As part of the fair, the Fund brought together experts in the field of energy efficiency and environmental protection to discuss the topic “Can Croatia’s experience and experts become an export product?”.
27.11.2018. Around 600 representatives of regional and local authorities, and of utility companies attended today’s interactive conference entitled ZaGOspodarimo otpadom (Let’s take control of waste management!), which was organised by the Ministry of Environment and Energy in cooperation with the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency.
07.11.2018. The Fund has gathered today around 40 experts in different fields so that through the exchange of experiences and opinions it could determine the subjects of the new programme Energy and Climate Change worth €20 million. The Fund will be the Programme Operator, and it will be co-financed in the amount of €17 million by Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein through the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism.
29.10.2018. The Transfer station “Treskavac” on the island of Krk was officially opened today. The investment is worth 7.5 million kuna, of which 4.6 million has been secured by the Fund, and the remaining amount was provided by the units of local self-government on Krk.
29.10.2018. The Fund will launch a new Public Call for co-financing the systems using renewable energy sources in family houses. “We will provide HRK 12 million for the citizens to co-finance the purchase and installation of biomass boilers and heat pumps. Depending on the area where the house is located, it is possible to get the grant ranging from 40% to 80%, i.e. in the maximum amount of 35 thousand kuna inclusive of VAT for the installation of the biomass system, or up to 45 thousand kuna inclusive of VAT for the heat pump systems”, announced Director of the Fund Dubravko Ponoš.
23.10.2018. The citizens of Dugo Selo can dispose of their sorted waste at the new recycling yard that was opened today in the ceremony attended by Director of the Fund Dubravko Ponoš and the mayor of Dugo Selo Nenad Panijan. The construction was financed under the OPCC; Dugo Selo was granted 3 million kuna from the Cohesion Fund, while the remaining amount of approximately half a million kuna has been allocated from the town budget.
