14.06.2023.

Representatives of the Fund attended the "CO2 to 55 – Green Deal for Croatia" Conference, discussing with other experts how to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.

As part of the conference, a panel discussion was held on the possibilities of financing energy-efficient projects. Mladen Ilijević, head of the Department for energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, announced that the Fund would again co-finance programmes supporting green growth and that energy renovation of family houses scheme was planned to start this autumn. "In recent years, a lot has been invested in projects for using renewable energy sources, especially solar energy. Soon, the Fund will announce a public call for co-financing the installation of photovoltaic systems in family houses,” said Ilijević and announced that incentives for the purchase of energy-efficient vehicles will be available in the autumn as well.

Irena Križ Šelendić, director of the Directorate for Energy Efficiency in the Buildings Sector, European Union Projects and Programmes at the Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets, presented the calls conducted under the Recovery and Resilience Facility.

Slovenia’s example was also presented at the conference, where Erik Potočar, head of the Sector for the policy of efficient use and renewable energy sources at the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Energy, said that they produced about 700 or 800 MV of energy from the Sun. “The first goal is to have renewable energy sources installed in 75 percent of buildings by 2030, and the second is to have 70 percent less CO2 emissions. In Slovenia, too, we have subsidies, and the amounts for one building range from 20 to 30 percent,” explained Potočar.
