Workshop for beneficiaries of grants for energy renovation of apartment buildingsAt the Croatian Chamber of Economy conference hall, the representatives of the Fund’s Intermediate Body level 2 held a workshop for the beneficiaries of EU funding for the projects that were accepted under the public call for the energy renovation of apartment buildings. As the advisor to the director of the Fund Helena Iveković said, HRK 300 million had been earmarked for the implementation of these projects as part of the Next Generation EU instrument under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021 – 2026.
The implementing body of the Fund is responsible for the control of procurement procedures, as well as for the financial and technical verification of EU projects. The implementation framework and EU procedures, together with the experiences thus far were explained to the participating building managers and representatives of owners and co-owners by Brigita Crnković, the head of the department for procurement control, Predrag Čuljak, the head of the Department for technical verification of energy efficiency and RES projects, Bojan Hlača from the Department for project selection, Maša Brezovac from the Department for system control, and Slavica Lulić, the head of the Department for financial and economic verification. The representatives of the Fund pointed out the importance of proactive communication that was essential for the successful implementation of projects.
As the result of the public call, the energy renovation of 92 apartment buildings that were not damaged in the earthquake will be co-financed. The beneficiaries will have options to apply different energy efficiency and RES measures in their buildings, as well as seismic retrofit, improve fire safety, provide healthier ambient conditions, and implement various horizontal measures (installation of new/reconstruction of the existing accessibility features, green infrastructure, sustainable urban mobility, and electromobility measures).
The next workshop is planned to be held on Friday, 4 November 2022, in the period from 9:00 until 15:00, at the Hall of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Rooseveltov trg 2.
