2023 Fund programmes presented in Sisak-Moslavina County

The Fund continues with workshops to present programmes for co-financing environmental protection and energy efficiency projects. One such workshop was held today in Sisak-Moslavina County, in Martinska Ves, for the representatives of county and local self-government units, as well as local municipal companies and public institutions.

The deputy director of the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, Mirko Budiša, said that the Fund was continuing with a number of programmes aimed at the development. “With incentives made available to the public sector, as well as companies and citizens, we want to steer investments towards activities that promote green growth and circular economy,” said Budiša, adding: “In the county that had particularly challenging past few years, and is still dealing with the consequences of the earthquake, these programmes are both an encouragement and a challenge, but the Fund is here for you as partner and support.”

Sisak-Moslavina deputy county mayor, Mihael Jurić, expressed his pleasure with the turnout of the representatives of local self-government units at the workshop, and pointed out the importance of informing the local community about all possible and available resources, especially considering the priority activities of remediation that are necessary in the majority areas in the county.
The co-financing possibilities from both national and European funds were presented to the participants by experts from the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund. Vlatka Gulan Zetić, the head of the nature protection department at the Environmental Protection Sector, presented environment protection and waste management programmes, while Vesna Cetin Krnjević, the head of the Department for support to final beneficiaries in project implementation at the Sector for EU Funds, explained the programmes for financing the national component in EU projects, and the role of support to beneficiaries in the implementation, and also announced the financing of the food waste prevention programmes. The head of a department at the Energy Efficiency Sector Mladen Ilijević talked about energy efficiency and renewable energy sources incentive programmes, while Predrag Čuljak, the head of a department at Intermediate Body level 2, presented the possibilities for co-financing from the EU funds, including under the Nation Recovery and Resilience Plan.
