07.10.2021.

The penultimate information and education workshop on the energy renovation of family houses was held in Velika Gorica. Numerous citizens who came had the opportunity to learn about the changes in the programme, the new application method, and get replies to their questions.

In his welcome speech, the deputy mayor of Velika Gorica, Neven Karas, pointed out that the energy renovation contributed not only to the quality of occupancy, but to the quality of living in general   “There are some 18 thousand buildings in Velika Gorica that were built in the 1970s and 1980s, and according to the survey we conducts, 13% has been renovate to meet energy performance standards, meaning there is room for improvement and the citizens are showing an interest,” said  Karas, wishing luck to all those who would apply to the public call.
The Fund launched the Public Call on 15 September, under which HRK 300 million will be available to the citizens for different energy efficiency or RES measures.
The employees from the Fund explained to the attendees that depending on the measures they choose, different terms and conditions for the call had to be met. Thermal insulation of the building envelope or a comprehensive energy renovation will be co-financed with up to 60% for the houses in the energy category D or lower in continental, or C or lower in coastal Croatia. The funding is also available solely for the use of renewable energy sources, either for the heating systems or electricity generation. However, these funds are available only for the houses in the energy category C or higher, or B or higher in the continental and coastal part of Croatia respectively, the grant amounting to 40, 60 or 80%, depending on the location.

The maximum incentive per house is HRK 204 thousand, but only if it has all the required documentation, up to three dwelling units, or a surface area up to 600 m2.  Eligible applicants are owners or co-owners of the house with permanent residence registered at the address of the house no later than 30 days before applying.

To simplify the application process as much as possible, especially for those who are not very tech-savvy, the Fund will co-finance expert assistance with up to 500 kn, and the amount will be paid together with other energy renovation costs, based on an invoice or service contract. The citizens will be able to send their applications through the online e-applications system starting on 14 October 2021 at 9:00, and if they are successful, they will have a 2-year period to implement the projects they planned.
