Electrical and electronic waste

The system of management of waste electrical and electronic equipment (EE waste) was established in 2007.  
 
Electrical and electronic equipment means all products and their component parts that are dependent on electricity or electromagnetic fields as the primary source of energy for their primary and proper operation, as well as products for the generation, transmission and measurement of current or electromagnetic field strength and that are intended to be used at a voltage not exceeding 1,000 V for AC and 1,500 V for DC.

Electrical and electronic waste is EE equipment that is waste in terms of the law regulating waste management in the Republic of Croatia, including all components, sub-assemblies and consumables that form part of the products at the time it is discarded.     

Categories of electrical and electronic equipment:
 
  1. Heat transfer equipment
  2. Displays, monitors, and equipment with the surface larger than 100 cm2
  3. Light bulbs
  4. Large equipment (any with outer dimensions larger than 50 cm)
  5. Small equipment (no outer dimensions larger than 50 cm)
  6. Small IT equipment
