Environmental protection
Inadequate waste management (including hazardous waste), is one of the biggest issues of environmental protection in Croatia. Insufficient commitment to resolving these problems in the past has led to the present critical situation in most units of local and regional self-government. Therefore, resolving the problem of waste management, in particular municipal and hazardous waste, is of the utmost priority for the Fund, in compliance with the Strategy of Waste Management in the Republic of Croatia.
