The Environmental
Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, in cooperation with the Croatian Chamber
of Commerce, is organizing a free of charge online education on the Extended Producer Responsibility
Register (EPRR), intended for legal entities and trades who develop, produce,
work on, process, sell, introduce or import, i.e. place on the market products and/or
devices and/or equipment, packaged in packaging.
The training is especially relevant for all companies that pay charges to the Fund
for the management of waste generated by packaging, vehicles, tyres, oils, electrical
and electronic equipment (EE waste), batteries and accumulators, single-use
plastic products, tobacco products with a filter, i.e. filters for tobacco products,
and fishing gear containing plastic.
The aim of
the workshop is to familiarise participants with the basic functionalities of the
Extended Producer Responsibility Register, the establishment of which will improve,
simplify, speed up and modernise the communication of product manufacturers in terms
of supplying and exchanging data.
The registration of producers in the EPRR will be carried out during January 2025, and
the obligation to submit data starts in February for the quantities of products
placed on the market of the Republic of Croatia in January 2025. When logging in
to the system for the first time, the user - Obliged entity will be asked to complete
the registration process. This process must be completed by all new Obliged entities,
as well as existing Obliged entities who are already registered and submit data
to the official records of the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency
Fund.
Access to
the EPR Register is limited and is provided only to authorised users. The authorisations
are linked to NIAS - National Identification and Authentication System (https://nias.gov.hr/), which manages electronic
identities in the national end-user authentication system with public sector e-services.
To access the EPRR service, it is necessary to have credentials of a minimum significant
level of security.
Considering the novelties in the application, participants will receive a detailed
insight into the EPRR, which will go live at the beginning of next year. The focus
of the training will be on user login to the system, product registration and submission
of reports, as well as on a practical presentation of working in the system. Participation
in the training will allow participants to prepare in time for the successful use
of the new system and facilitate the harmonisation of their business processes with
regulations.
You will learn:
- How to log into the system and register with the EPRR;
- Steps to submit reports and receive decisions;
- How to use the EPRR mailbox to communicate with the Fund.
Schedule:
- EPRR - User login to the system and registration of the obliged entity (registration certificate)
- Registration of beverages in the Deposit Return System (DRS)
