Consultation with the interested public

Consultation with the interested public

In accordance with the Act on the Right of Access to Information (Official Gazette 25/1385/15 and 69/22) and the Code of consultation with the interested public (Official Gazette 140/09), the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund conducts consultations with the interested public in the process of adopting regulations within the scope of its work.

The purpose of consultations is to collect information regarding the interests, attitudes and proposals of the interested public so as to raise the level of understanding and acceptance of new regulations and acts, as well as to detect the weaknesses and negative impacts of the proposed regulation or act.

Consultation is a two-way process during which the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund seeks and receives feedback from the interested public in the process of adopting regulations or acts.

For representatives of the interested public – citizens, civil society organisations, representatives of the academia, NGOs, non-profit organisations, etc., consultation is an opportunity to influence the proposed regulation or act with their knowledge, experience, and expertise on behalf of the groups and interests they represent.
