06.10.2021.

After they visited all Croatian counties over the past three weeks, the Fund held 22nd information an education workshop on the energy renovation of family houses in Fužine. In the workshop they presented the terms and conditions of the public call the Fund launched on 15 September, including all the measures eligible for co-financing, and the list of required documentation.

“Last year we financed around 20 projects for our citizens, and some of them were granted funding. I’m sure that in this workshop you will get the relevant information, so that as many of you as possible get the opportunity to have your projects co-financed,” said the head of municipality, David Bregovac, in his welcome speech, expressing pleasure that the workshop for the area of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County was organised in Fužine.

In 2021, HRK 300 million will be available to the citizens, sufficient for the renovation of around 4000 family houses. The employees of the Fund explained to the participants in the workshop about different EE and RES measures being financed, depending on which different terms and conditions of the call had to be met. Thermal insulation of the building envelope or a comprehensive energy renovation will be co-financed with up to 60% for the houses in the energy category D or lower in continental, or C or lower in coastal Croatia. The funding is also available solely for the use of renewable energy sources, either for the heating systems or electricity generation. However, these funds are available only for the houses in the energy category C or higher, or B or higher in the continental and coastal part of Croatia respectively, the grant amounting to 40, 60 or 80%, depending on the location.

Depending on the chosen measures, the citizens are eligible for a grant of up to HRK 204 thousand provided they are owners or co-owners of the house and have permanent residence at the address of the house they wish to renovate, registered no later than 14 September. In the workshop it was pointed out once again that financing was available only for the houses with all the necessary documentation and meeting one of the two conditions: having either up to three dwelling unts or a surface are of up to 600 m2.

The list of the required documentation has been simplified this year. If the citizens already have the documents such as the energy audit report or the energy performance certificate, and there have been no construction works on the house, they do not have to commission them again because they are valid for several years. However, due to a change in market prices, it is recommended to obtain more recent quotes from contractors. As of the moment of signing the contract, the beneficiaries will have a period of two years to implement the works, and they can change the contractor.

The prerequisite for co-financing is of course, a successful application that will this year be possible only online via the e-Applications system. The submission starts on 14 October at 9:00. To prepare the citizens in the best possible way, the Fund showed how to fill out the application on a test version. They advised the participants to They advised the participants to create their user accounts before the date of submission. In case they could not submit an online application or were not skilled at using a computer, they could hire an anergy auditor or someone else to do it for them. The Fund will provide 500 kn for this service, and the amount would be paid together with other energy renovation costs, based on an invoice or service contract.
