Fee for the management of end-of-life vehicles

The Ordinance on the management of end-of-life vehicles, and amendments thereto (OG 125/1590/1660/1872/1881/20 ), lays down the procedures and goals of the management of endo-of-life vehicles, their treatment method, requirements regarding collection, storage and transport, including vehicle marking and equipment, requirements regarding the treatment of end-of-life vehicles and waste resulting from this treatment and measuring procedures related thereto, the content of the programme for providing the service of collecting end-of-life vehicles, the obligation to report and submit the data, keeping records and reporting, the obligation and method to fulfil the obligations of vehicle manufacturers, requirements regarding the vehicles placed on the market,  mandatory procedures of vehicle manufacturers, holders, collectors and treatment operators.
 
In accordance with the Ordinance, the fee for the management of end-of-life vehicles is the cum paid by the manufacturers and natural persons – citizens to cover the costs of collection and treatment of end-of-life vehicles in the system managed by the Fund, when placing on the market new or used vehicles. The provisions of the Ordinance apply to the vehicles that are pursuant to a special regulation classifies the vehicles into the following categories: M1 category – motor vehicles used for the carriage of passengers and comprising no more than eight seats in addition to the driver's seat, N1 category – motor vehicles used for the carriage of goods and having a maximum weight not exceeding 3,5 tonnes, and tricycles, including motor tricycles.
