The waste management fee is a measure for providing waste management services in order to achieve the prescribed waste management objectives within the Extended Producer Responsibility system.
The producer of products (producer and importer of products that is a legal or natural person - trade or a natural person who develops, produces, processes, treats, distributes, introduces or imports and places on the market in the territory of the Republic of Croatia products packaged in packaging) is obliged to meet the waste packaging management objectives in proportion to the amount of packaging of the products he has placed on the market by paying the management fee to the Fund's account, in the manner prescribed by the Regulation on waste packaging management (Official Gazette 97/15, 7/20 and 140/20).
The Fund assumes the obligation to meet the targets for producers who have paid the management fee to the Fund's account, in proportion to the fee paid, and for this purpose manages and disposes of waste packaging.
The amounts of fees in the waste packaging management system are prescribed by the Regulation on the management of waste packaging (Official Gazette 97/15, 7/20 and 140/20).
