The Town of Imotski is interested in environmental and energy efficiency programmes in the upcoming period, undier which the Fund will co-finance to the units of local self-government different standardised projects. That was also the subject of the meeting between the director of the Fund, Siniša Kukić, and the mayor of Imotski, Ivan Budalić, and their colleagues.The head of the Sector for special categories of waste Zvonimir Majić informed the participants about the new Waste Management Act, and the provisions applying to the cooperation of the units of local self-government and the Fund, while Jadranka Raić Bradvica, the head of the Department for environmental protection, talked about the projects for the promotion of reducing and separating municipal waste.
“After we concluded an agreement successfully resolving the outstanding debt Imotski owes to the Fund, the requirements have been met so the town can apply to our public calls. The mayor informed that they have a number of projects in the pipeline. I believe these projects will be worthwhile and meet the requirements of our public calls, and that we will cooperate through different programmes,” said Kukić.
Talking about the upcoming Public Call for co-financing energy renovation of a family houses, mayor Budalić welcomed the hands-on approach and the workshop the Fund organised in Imotski, which proved very useful for the citizens.
