15.06.2023.

The Fund’s 2023 public calls and calls for proposals were presented to towns and municipalities, utility companies, and public institutions from Karlovac County.
Director of the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, Luka Balen, commended the cooperation with the county so far saying it was on a very high level. “This is demonstrated not only by around 40 million euros of national and 44 million euros of EU funds that were approved for numerous projects in waste management, nature protection, energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources, but by our partnership and expert support in their implementation,” Balen said.

County prefect Martina Furdek Hajdin agreed with him, thanking for the great response. “I believe that today's workshop will provide answers to all the questions that would otherwise be directed to the Fund, and in this way all stakeholders will have all the necessary information on time,” she concluded.

After the welcome address, the Fund's experts presented the current and future programmes prepared by the Fund for various beneficiaries during 2023. The head of a Department at the Environmental Protection Sector Vlatka Gulan Zetić presented public calls in the field of environmental and nature protection, the head of the Energy Efficiency Sector, Maja Rajčić, in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, the head of Intermediate Body level 2, Sanja Jelačić, presented public calls from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, while the head of a department at the Sector for EU Funds Vesna Cetin Krnjević presented programmes for the financing of the national component in EU projects, and the role of providing support to beneficiaries in their implementation, also announcing financing schemes for food waste prevention projects.
