Workshop on co-financing energy renovation in Ivanić Grad

05.10.2021.

The Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund held an information and education workshop in Ivanić Grad. The topic of the workshop was the Public Call for the energy renovation of family houses worth HRK 300 million, launched by the Fund on 15 September.

Interested citizens could get the information about the measures eligible for co-financing, and about the terms and conditions they have to meet to be able to apply their houses for co-financing. In addition, the employees of the Fund explained in detail the list of the required documents, and they demonstrated the navigation in the e-Applications system.

“This year the Fund has allocated significant resources for the energy renovation of houses – HRK 300 million, which is significantly more than last year. Depending on the energy efficiency measures the citizens are planning to implement, they are eligible for a grant of up to HRK 204 thousand. The percentage of co-financing depends on the planned works, and the requirements the house must meet – such as the energy category,” said the head of the Department for energy efficiency and renewable energy sources Mladen Ilijević, adding that the employees of the Fund held workshops across Croatia explaining the programme to all interested citizens, making it easier for them to apply.

Owners or co-owners of houses with more than 50% of the surface area intended for living, and with up to 3 dwelling units or up to 600m2 of surface area, can apply for co-financing only if they have permanent residence registered at this address.   Thermal insulation of the building envelope or a comprehensive energy renovation will be co-financed with up to 60% for the houses in the energy category D or lower in continental, or C or lower in coastal Croatia. The funding is also available solely for the use of renewable energy sources, either for the heating systems or electricity generation. However, these funds are available only for the houses in the energy category C or higher, or B or higher in the continental and coastal part of Croatia respectively, the grant amounting to 40, 60 or 80%, depending on the location.

The submission of applications for co-financing starts on 14 October at 9:00, and by then interested citizens should create their user accounts to be able to log in, fill out the application form and upload the necessary documentation on time. The Fund advised the participants who already had the documentation prepared ad waiting that the Statement form was changed, and that due to a change in market prices, they should obtain new quotes from contractors. It was explained that these quotes were only informative, and that the contractor could be changed later on. On the other hand, the documents  such as energy audit reports and energy performance certificates were valid for several years and it was not necessary to have them drawn up again if there were no additional construction works done on the house.
To simplify the application process as much as possible, especially for those who are not very tech-savvy, the Fund will co-finance expert assistance with up to 500 kn, and the amount will be paid together with other energy renovation costs, based on an invoice or service contract.

Beneficiaries will have enough time to implement the projects – 24 months to complete the works. The approved grant will be paid within a period of 30 days from the date of submission of the complete payment documentation, which includes a new energy performance certificate for the renovated house.
