The collection of waste packaging not included in the deposit return system is organised either through contracts for the collection of waste packaging concluded between the Fund and authorised collectors, or through treatment operators who have, pursuant to the provisions of the Waste Management Act (OG 84/21), established their own collection network whereby they collect across the Republic of Croatia the waste packaging they treat, regardless of whether they established the collection network upon the conclusion of the contract for the performance of treatment activities in line with the authorisation obtained under the Waste Management Act, or they complied with the provision of Article 97(11) and the deadline stipulated in the Waste Management Act, whereby their contracts concluded under the Act on Sustainable Waste Management (OG 94/13, 73/17, 14/19 and 98/19) remain in force.
