Starting on 24 June at 8:00, the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund will reopen the application process for co-financing energy efficient vehicles. The beneficiaries for whom the point of sale budgeted the incentives had an 8-day deadline to pay the obligatory minimum down payment. In the 8 days the down payment was received for 1910 out of the 1950 applied for vehicles, so out of the allocated 90 million HRK 1.8 million remain available.With the aim of allocating the entire budget, the Public Call will be relaunched under the same conditions. Applications are possible only through the points of sale, and the incentives will be approved only for the makes and vehicle models that are listed on the website vozimoeko.fzoeu.hr.
The Public Call for energy efficient vehicles was launched on 2 June and the applications could be submitted on 10 June. In less than 8 hours, citizens and companies used up the entire available budget, so the public call was temporarily closed.
The call attracted the citizens and companies alike, where the companies made the down payments for 981 vehicles, while the citizens paid for 929. Of the total number of ordered vehicles, 1265 are passenger vehicles and 595 are category L vehicles. The best-selling model of electric passenger car is the Renault Twingo Electric with 400 ordered vehicles, followed by the Dacia Spring, the Tesla Model 3 – Long Range, and the Volkswagen ID.4 Pro Performance.
Since the current model of co-financing does not allow the public sector to apply due to the provisions of the Public Procurement Acct, it is planned to have a special call worth 15 million kunas for the public sector to which potential beneficiaries will be able to apply through the Fund’s e-Applications system.
