Fund organises webinars for local self-government units and utility companies

20.07.2021.

Around 400 representatives of the local self-government units and utility companies took part in the online workshops organised by the Fund and held by Aleksandra Čilić and Maja Rajčić, the heads of the Environmental Protection Sector and Energy Efficiency Sector respectively.

Head of sectors, Čilić and Rajčić, presented the Fund’s this year’s programmes for the public sector and explained the possibilities for co-financing, including the procedures to apply to public calls and calls for proposals. This year’s allocation amounts to HRK 925 million that will be available through 22 public calls, some of which are aimed at the public sector. “The Fund’s aim is to direct the investments into activities that facilitate green growth, circular economy, and the use of renewable energy sources. All this is in line with the national and European policies, and the obligations arising from them should be viewed as a vision that will eventually result in improving the society,” said Čilić and Rajčić.

They also pointed out that informing the future applicants was an important segment and precondition for success of the projects applied to the Fund’s public calls and calls for proposals. The webinars were not only informative but also interactive as the participants could ask questions and give practical proposals and comments. From the responses to the survey,  the Fund gained additional information about the plans and needs of the local self-government units and utility companies, all with the aim of improving the cooperation and ensuring quality implementation of all planned projects.
