Due to the increased number of enquiries from possible applicants, the receipt of applications to the Public Call for the purchase of new vehicles on alternative fuels (EnU-4/26), which should have started through the eFZOEU system on 24February 2026 at 9:00 has been postponed.Most of the inquiries received refer to obtaining a document on classification according to the National Classification of Activities (NKD), which must be attached as part of the application documentation. In previous calls, this document was one of the most common reasons for rejecting applications. Also, according to the available information, some applicants are faced with difficulties in obtaining mandatory documentation from the competent institutions and suppliers.
On account of these administrative and procedural reasons, the postponement of the deadline aims to improve the quality of the received applications and ensure a level paying field for all interested applicants, in compliance with the principle of equal treatment.
The new deadline for submitting applications will be published on the website of the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund during this week.
Note that the initially anticipated deadline for the completion of the project and the submission of all documentation required for the disbursement of funds has been extended from 31 May to 31 July 2026. This time limit applies to beneficiaries whose applications were approved in the 2025 Public Call for the purchase of alternative fuel vehicles, as well as to beneficiaries who will be approved for funds under the upcoming public call.
