28.11.2025.
After having received more than 8,000 applications from citizens, at 12:00 on Monday 1 December, the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund will close both public calls for the installation of photovoltaic power plants in family houses. These calls, worth in total 28 million euros, are used to incentivise citizens who installed photovoltaic power plants for the production of electricity for their own consumption in 2024 and 2025.The calls are intended for owners of family houses who, in addition to having a permanent residence at the address of the house at the time of commissioning the power plant, also met all other administrative and technical conditions - including the legality of the building, the consents of other co-owners, and similar. In total, the Fund received about 2,300 applications for the public call for co-financing of power plants installed in 2024, while 5,700 citizens applied for co-financing for power plants installed in 2025.
We invite all applicants to once again check the accuracy and completeness of their applications and, if they notice that they are missing any mandatory documentation, request the withdrawal of the application and resubmit the complete application by 1 December at 12:00, because once the call is closed, subsequent submission of the mandatory documentation will not be possible.
Applicants whose applications are positively evaluated and within the available funds will be entitled to co-financing of 600 euros per kW of installed capacity of the photovoltaic power plant, i.e. up to 50% of the paid investment.
In the past two years, the Fund has co-financed around 5,600 PV power plants, and this year's public calls will further increase that number. Such investments enable citizens to significantly reduce energy costs, increase energy independence, and they contribute to decarbonisation goals, and the promotion of renewable sources, especially solar energy.
The Fund plans to continue financing similar programmes in the upcoming years, in accordance with national energy and climate strategies.
