Treatment

Companies that have obtained authorisation for the treatment of waste packaging and concluded contracts for the treatment of waste packaging pursuant to the provisions of the Act on Sustainable Waste Management have established their own waste packaging collection network they treat within the time limit prescribed by the Waste Management Act. 

Namely, the provisions of the Waste Management Act stipulate that waste packaging treatment operators who have obtained authorisation and concluded a contract for the performance of waste treatment activities pursuant to the Act on Sustainable Waste Management are obliged to establish their own collection network for waste packaging they treat across the  territory of the Republic of Croatia within one year of the entry into force of the Waste Management Act in order for their treatment contracts to remain in effect.
